Amid festive season and a busy week for the motorcycling world, India Kawasaki Motor has launched its 2019 edition of the Versys 650 in India. The 2019 edition Kawasaki Versys 650 has been priced at Rs 6.69 lakh. It will be sold at the same price as the ongoing model is being sold in the sale.
What 2019 Kawasaki Motor caught our attention is, its paint scheme on the middleweight tourer with new black and green highlights for the front and rear section. Kawasaki Versys 650’s fuel tank is finished in grey.
The announcement of 2019 Kawasaki Versys 650 comes days after the Suzuki V-Storm 650 XT and the SWM Superdual T adventure motorcycle were launched in India.
Power on the 2019 Kawasaki Versys 650 comes from the same 649 CC, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine tuned to produce 67.4 bhp and 64 Nm of peak torque. The Kawasaki motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike uses a 41 mm USD forks up front and a pre-load and rebound adjustable monoshock suspension at the back. Braking duties on the motorcycle are handled by 300 mm twin disc brakes at the front and a 250 mm single disc at the rear with Nissin callipers. The bike also offers Dual-channel ABS as standard on the Versys 650.

Speaking on the launch event, Mr. Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. said, “Versys 650 offers good performance, has versatility and fun-factor. For riders, it is actually a real treat to ride in any condition. It also happens to be the most affordable adventure bike in 650cc. Keeping festive season in mind, we have worked rigorously to ensure that customers get the delivery of their brand new Versys 650 on their preferred auspicious day.”
Touring has always been the mainstay for the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road-spec tyres. The bike remains away from a lot of electronic intervention and does not have any of the fancy electronics onboard, also making for a competitive price tag.
The price of 019 Kawasaki Versys 650 has not been increased keeping an eye on its rivals. The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS has been priced at Rs 7.46 lakh, while the SWM Superdual T’s price stands at Rs 6.80 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
The price of 2019 edition Kawasaki Versys 650 is Rs 6,69,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. The bookings of Kawasaki Versys 650 are open and the customers can visit the nearest showroom for booking related information.
