Independence Day is celebrated annually on 15 August as a national holiday in India commemorating the nation’s independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947, the day when the provisions of the 1947 Indian Independence Act, which transferred legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly, came into effect.

Independence Day 2021: 5 Tricolor Food Dishes
1. Pasta
Ingredients:
- Penne
- Butter
- Parsley
- Salt
- Broccoli
- Carrot
- Garlic Clove
- Virgin Olive Oil
- Green Onions
Recipe:
- Boil the penne pasta in a bowl and cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Blanch the pasta
- In a large skillet, cook all the veggies in butter for 3 minutes.
- Mix them well.
- Add the pasta and mix salt, virgin olive oil.
- Toss everything and serve with parsley.
2. Dimsums
Ingredients:
- Thigh minced chicken
- Green chili
- Fresh coriander
- Sesame oil
- Salt
- White pepper powder
- Cabbage
- Garlic
- Vinegar
- Flour
- Milk
- Oyster sauce
Recipe:
- Take minced chicken in a bowl, add chilly, coriander, oyster sauce, and seasoning.
- Mix it properly.
- Make dough of dim sums with flour and milk.
- Make it smoothly, take small balls, and spread.
- Put the filling in the dough.
- Steam for 4 mins.
- Serve it hot.
3. Salad
Ingredients:
- Cabbage
- Carrot
- Lemon
- Salt
- Cucumber
- Raddish
- Pepper powder
Recipe:
- Wash all the vegetables and chopped them.
- Toss the salad in a large bowl, mix the veggies.
- Arrange first carrot layer followed by radish layer followed by cucumber layer.
4. Pizza
Ingredients:
- Dough
- Capsicum
- Onions
- Tomatoes
- Black Olive
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella cheese
Recipe:
- Add pizza sauce to the pizza dough.
- Add mozzarella cheese over it.
- Add the veggies, according to the color of a tricolor.
- Place the pizza on a pan, in case you don’t have an oven.
- Wait for the pizza to cook on a low flame.
- Bake until the cheese is melted and the dough is browned.
- Serve immediately.
5. Sandwich
Ingredients:
- Bread
- Butter
- Carrot
- Cucumber
- Mayonnaise
- Green chutney
- Salt
- Pepper
- Lettuce
- Cheese
Recipe:
- On one bread slice, apply a generous amount of green chutney.
- Layer it with lettuce leaves for a green layer.
- Use sliced cucumber for green layers.
- Add cheese slice and crushed black pepper.
- Place another slice of bread to get a white layer.
- Spread mayonnaise sauce generously.
- Spread grated carrot forming the orange layer.
- Season with some salt and crushed black pepper.
- On the third base, place the bread slice and press gently.
- Cut the sandwich into a half-forming triangle.
- Finally, serve.
