With Ekta Kapoor’s Hum Paanch making a return to the TV screens, it’s not just fans of the show that are hit by nostalgia. As per Mumbai Mirror, actor Shoma Anand is also feeling nostalgic about her time on Hum Paanch. She was one of the lead actors in the show. The actor has said that she is happy the show is celebrating its silver jubilee by entertaining people during the countrywide lockdown.
“It makes me nostalgic about old days and how we looked then.”
In addition, the actor also shared that the cast of the show is still in touch despite the time gone by.
“This is a family I created for a lifetime, unlike today, where people forget each other right after a project.”
The actor also stated that she is happy to take a break from acting. She last appeared in Govinda’s 2009 film Life Partner. According to her, there are not many characters she can fit into anymore.
There are no characters left in films anyway. It’s either a love story, an action film or special songs and I don’t fit in any of them.”
However, Shoma Anand has stated that she would be keen to make a comeback for a sequel to Hum Paanch. She shared that the cast has been asking the makers to bring it back for years. Since the show has a strong appeal, it has every possibility of working.
“We’ve been asking the makers for years to bring it back, as viewers won’t forget it even after 50 years.”
