House of the Dragon is HBO’s spin-off to Game of Thrones, set during the height of the Targaryen dynasty…right before they destroyed it by getting involved in a brutal civil war, with dragons fighting dragons and family members at each other’s throats, all of it based on Martin’s history of the event, Fire & Blood.

Fans are quite excited for this Game of Thrones prequel and have plenty of hopes from the series. Earlier, there was many Game of Thrones prequels but they have narrowed it down to just House of The Dragon.

According to reports, House of The Dragon will take place 300-year before the origin of GOT.  The series will revolve around the birth of the Targaryen house. According to reports, the series will have 10 episodes and it will be based on George RR Martin’s companion book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon and will be overseen by Ryan Condal.

HBO has reportedly taken Miguel Sapochnik on board as he had previously worked in some episodes of Game of Thrones titled ‘Battle of the Bastards’ and ‘Hardhome.’
