Tamil Nadu: HIV affected man kills two daughters before committing suicide
Wise people have rightly said that it is easy to die but hard to survive. In a latest incident, a 37-year-old man in Erode district of Tamil Nadu came to know that he tested positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) a few years back. Struggling for years, he took a decision to end his life, but before that, he allegedly killed his daughters by feeding them poison-laced food, said police.
A daily wage worker of Sengulam forest settlement in Anthiyur — Sikkaran — has been a patient of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) for years. Getting a vibe that he will die soon, he thought of ending his two daughters before committing suicide. Before consuming the poison-laced food, he fed it to his two daughters. Noticing the three bodies lying unconscious, the neighbours informed the police, who shifted them to Anthiyur Government Hospital.
asked about the condition, as reported by Deccan Chronicle, police said that both the daughters died en-route to the hospital, but the father is alive. However, the police official said that his condition is critical. Police have registered a case and are investigating it.
In a similar incident, a 26-year-old housewife committed suicide by hanging after a quarrel with the husband in Hyderabad. Police have registered a case at the Balanagar police station and are investigating the matter.
