Hina Khan attended her very first Cannes Film Festival in the year 2019, which marked her debut. She also walked the red carpet at the 72nd edition of the festival. Another highlight from her Cannes journey was when she was invited with Priyanka Chopra and her husband-actor Nick Jonas for a party.
Now, in an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the ‘Hacked’ actress revealed that she was nervous about meeting PeeCee for the first time. She said: “I didn’t even have a gown to wear. In fact, when I was again going to walk, I was not supported by the designers in India. But now, things have changed. Now people look at me in a different light. When my team approaches a certain designer, they do respond, in a positive manner.”
Further, she said: “I had no idea. All I knew was that I was going to attend the trailer launch of my film. I didn’t have an understanding of how big things would get. But it became huge, and then I realised how big of a deal it is. And an even bigger deal for me was receiving a text message from Priyanka Chopra, and I decided I would not go. I was so nervous.”
Hina said that finally she arranged an outfit, wore and went to met Priyanka.
Recently, Hina who lost her father recently, revealed that she received a long message from Chopra, she told Miss Malini: “Priyanka Chopra is such a busy woman and entrepreneur. She sent me a text message after my father’s death. And such a long message because she understands what it means to lose your father. That was really special and heart-touching.”
In 2019, the actress also penned a long note talking about how the ‘Dostana’actress made her feel at home.
