At least 35 students from a local computer centre in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district were injured on Thursday morning after a private bus ferrying them skidded off the road.
The bus, which was carrying 45 students, met with the accident near Samleta in Nagrota Suriyan, at least 45 kilometres from Dharamsala. As soon as the incident was reported, the local authorities and police launched the rescue operation and saved all the students.
All the injured students have been admitted to a hospital. Ten of them sustained fractures and minor injuries and admitted to the local primary health centre in Nagrota Suriyan. Five students are reported to be critically injured and were taken to the Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College Hospital in Tanda.
It is to be noted that students were travelling to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally which held in Dharamsala.

On November 26, a private bus carrying 45 passengers was on its way from Nahan towards Dadahu when the unfortunate accident took place. At least nine people were killed while 30 others injured.
In another mishap on the same day, a tourist bus travelling from Delhi plunged into a gorge at Kiari Nallah on Solan/Shimla border. At least 21 people were injured in the accident.
