Henry Cavill Set To Play Wolverine In MCU?
There is no official confirmation to the news yet
Henry Cavill may soon be seen as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe portraying the character of Wolverine. While there is no official word from Marvel confirming the news, reports suggest that Henry Cavill may soon be seen as Wolverine. If this does turn out be true, Cavill will be taking on the role from the fan favorite Hugh Jackman.
Henry Cavill is no stranger to the superhero genre and has played the role of Superman in the DC Extended Universe. However, his outing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League failed to impress audiences. DC may soon be looking to reboot the whole original cast.
Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, has gone on record to say that he is planning to bring The X-Men into the MCU fold. He said, “I’m extremely excited about those characters and about bringing Marvel’s First Family up to the platform and the level that they deserve. The truth is, I’m excited for all of them. I’m excited, and it’s not just the marquee names you know — there are hundreds of names on those documents, on those agreements. And the fact that Marvel is as close as we may ever get now to having access to all of the characters, is something I’ve been dreaming about for my almost 20 years at Marvel. And it’s very exciting.”
However, Feige added that while the films were in works, it may be a long time before we see them on screen.
