Hazaribagh suicides an extension of Burari mystery murders?
The embers of the pyres of the Burari mystery deaths hadn’t entirely extinguished when another such incident came to light in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh where six members of a family were found dead.
Five members of the Marwadi family allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves while the sixth person jumped off the roof of the house.

The six people have been identified as 70-year-old Mahavir Maheswari, his wife 65-year-old Kiran Maheshwari, their son 40-year-old Naresh Agrawal, his wife 38-year-old Priti Agrawal, their two kids – 8-year-old Aman and 6-year-old Anjali.
“We are investigating the case from both suicide and a murder angle. Forensic team is collecting samples to ascertain the causes of death,” said a police official.
Police have recovered three suicide notes and a power of attorney which will be investigated, Hazaribagh DSP Chandan Vats said.
“They have written in a note that they killed their son, Aman, as they couldn’t hang him,” said Vats.
Naresh killed himself in the end by jumping off the roof of his apartment. Two people were found hanging from ceiling fans while one was strangulated to death. The girl child Anvi was poisoned, while Aman was found dead with his throat slit.
A brown envelope was recovered from the scene which had “suicide note” written on it, with the reason for suicide explained in a precise mathematical formula. Written in Hindi with red ink on the top was, “we couldn’t hang Aman so we killed him”.
Earlier on July 1, 11 members of a family in Delhi’s Burari were found dead inside their house. While 10 of them were found hanging with eyes covered, mouth gagged and hands tied to their back, an elderly lady was lying in another room.
