Battle hero of Patidar who is quite famous for his Patidar reservation agitation, now sentenced to two years in jail by a Gujarat court in a 2015 riots case linked to the Patel quota movement.
The charges for which Patel was found guilty includes creating ruckus at Bharatiya Janata Party MLA’s office and in the act of deliberately setting fire to the property.
Even though there were 17 people who were accused in the case, for now only three are being considered as guilty along with Hardik. The other one out of three is Lalji Patel, the leader of the Sardar Patel Group, was also found guilty.

Both the person are sentenced with two-year jail term and also been handed a Rs 50,000 fine.
The case dates back to 2015 when reservation reformers from the Patel community in Gujarat created a ruckus at BJP MLA Rishikesh Patel’s office.
Among the prominent faces who led the campaign was Hardik Patel who is the reason for massive state-wide turmoil in 2015 in Gujarat.
