On Tuesday, Krunal Pandya made his ODI debut just a day before his 30th birthday and scored an unbeaten 58 off 31 balls. He made his debut memorable with a 26-ball half-century, which is the fastest ODI half-century in ODIs by a debutant. After his knock, he burst into tears and his brother and Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya was seen hugging and consoling him on the field.
A day after his match, Hardik took to his social media handle to wish his brother, Krunal, and shared a series of clips and old photos with the tune of Kishore Kumar’s Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan playing in the background and it will leave you misty-eyed. “We’re on this journey together bhai right from the start ❤️ The highs, the lows, I’m lucky to have you by my side. Happy birthday big bro 🤗 @krunalpandya_official,” he captioned the video.

Krunal and brother Hardik lost their father in January this year. Krunal said that it was a special moment for him and he had his father’s blessings throughout the game. He also dedicated the knock to his later father.
“Papa, with every ball you were always on my mind and in my heart. Tears rolled down my face as I felt your presence with me. Thank you for being my strength, for being the biggest support I’ve had. I hope I made you proud. This is for you Papa, everything we do is for you Papa,” tweeted Krunal.
