The outbreak of COVID-19 led millions of people to stay indoors and that’s how the consumption of digital content has got an instant boost. While few TV channels have been lacking with the fresh content to telecast, OTT platforms are making the best use of the time being. As the pan India lockdown has been extended further, Bollywood filmmakers seem to be collaborating with the OTT platforms to release respective films. We have got our hands on the latest reports which state that the makers of ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ have finalized a deal with Amazon Prime.
The reports were already making headlines that the director, Shoojit Sircar had been considering the OTT platform to release his film. As per the latest report in Bollywood Bubble, a source close to the development has confirmed that the makers of ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ have locked a deal with Amazon Prime. Although the source has confirmed the deal, it’s not yet clear if the makers would be releasing the film on Amazon Prime or its for a theatrical rights.
The film, ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ has been directed by Shoojit Sircar and the film is being produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana will be sharing the screen space for the first time. The film was earlier slated to hit the silver screens on April 17.
