Are you one of them, who have signed a petition demanding remake of Game of Throne season 8? If not, you should know that more than 900,000 people have already signed the petition. It all started after the makers had dropped the fifth episode of GoT last season on last Monday. In the latest episode, writers of the show did not leave any stone unturned to show the Dragon Queen Daenerys Targaryen merciless.
They have shown Dany as mad queen, who burnt Kings landing to the ground and killed thousands of innocent people without bestowing any mercy to women, children or elderly people. However, it seems GoT fans did not enjoy Daenerys’s this dangerous avatar and took to social media to express their rage.
It is to be noted that the latest episode The Bells was the worst reviewed episode in the fantasy show’s history. Unhappy with the sad ending, some fans of Game of Thrones launched an online petition urging writers David Benioff and D.B Weiss to remake the entire last season.
The disgruntled fan wrote: “David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully impotent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.”
He wrote: “This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!” As of now, HBO and Games of Thrones stars kept their mouth quiet on this issue but now Jacob Anderson who plays Grey Worm in Game of Thrones opened up about the online petition. In an interview with Strahan and Sara, he said, “I think it’s rude. Obviously, the show feels to people like it belongs to them. That’s really good – I think it’s really important when people take something into their heart and it means something to them.”
“However, it doesn’t. I just mean that in the sense that I was there and the crew, in particular, are like the hardest working people I’ve ever met. I think to trivialise their work in that way – I find it quite sad,” he added.
