Just a day after celebrating its 20th birthday, Google has now come up with a new doodle contest, inviting students from all over the world to participate in the ‘Doodle 4 Google’ competition.
Google has turned its doodle making into a competition for children, with the Doodle 4 Google giving primary and secondary school students the chance to have their illustrations featured on their local Google page.
The theme of the Doodle 4 Google competition is ‘What inspire me’? Google released a statement on its website asking, “Does art inspire you? Clouds that look like faces? Trees that look like humans? Paper Planes? Discovering new galaxies?” Artists have looked to the world around them for centuries to gained inspiration. Google in its contest, Doodle 4 Google asks students to do the same and inviting students to share their doodles based on the theme ‘What Inspires Me?’ The winning doodle will be showcased on www.google.co.in page and the winner will win loads of prizes.”

Follow these steps to participate in Doodle 4 Google contest
Step 1: Go to ‘www.google.com’
Step 2: Click on ‘Calling all young artists: 1 week left to submit your artwork for Doodle 4 Google’
Step 3: Now click on the ‘Enter the Doodle’ button
Step 4: Download the form or submit it online.
Step 5: If you are sending the doodle by post then make sure it is not hampered
Students around the world have been requested to submit their artwork within a week, be it an image, sketch or video. All the school students can blend their creativity and power of imagination together and form a beautiful piece of art out of it. If you are planning to send the doodle by post then the address is Doodle 4 Google 2018, Google India Private Limited, Signature Tower 2, Tower B, Delhi – Jaipur Expressway, Sector 15 – Part 2, Gurugram, Haryana, 122001.
In “What inspires me?” Google mentioned on its website that “From crayons to clay, graphic design, young artists can utilise any materials to bring their creation to life. Like all Google Doodles, each doodle must incorporate the letters G-o-o-g-l-e. ”
According to the information available on the website, one national winner will receive Rs 500,000 college scholarship, Rs 200,000 technology package for their school and the winning doodle will be showcased on www.google.co.in on 14th November 2018.
