Francisco Dorronsoro produced a stellar performance as Delhi Dynamos held defending champions Chennaiyin to a goalless draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.
Despite the draw, Delhi coach Josep Gombau will be worried given his side are yet to a win a game in four matches. Meanwhile, Chennaiyin earned their first point after a hat-trick of defeats.
Without a win in their last four matches, Chenniayin started on a high desperate to score and could have done so as early as the second minute when got a free header from an Isaac Vanmalsawma corner. But Dorronsoro kept it out with a superlative effort.

With Chennaiyin putting more men up front, Delhi were afforded a lot of space on the flanks and Lallianzuala Chhangte and Nandhan Kumar ran all-over them but were not accurate with their crosses meaning Delhi made little use of it.
Carlos Salom was then sent through on goal by a defence-splitting through-ball from Raphael Augusto five-minutes before the interval. The striker found an unmarked Thoi Singh, who took a first touch before unleashing a ripper that was kept out by an alert Dorronsoro.
Minutes later Delhi had their first shot on target on target from another of Chhangte’s cross that met Andrija Kaludjerovic’s head, which was disappointingly straight at Chenniayin custodian Karanjit Singh.
Raphael Augusto then saw his drive acrobatically pulled away by the former Real Zaragoza ‘B’ man as Delhi held on to the hard-fought draw their second in three matches at home this season. The other ended in a 1-2 defeat against ATK.
