Supermodel Gigi Hadid is being sued by a photographer for sharing a picture of ex-beau Zayn Malik. Photographer Robert O’Neil has filed a lawsuit against the stunner to the tune of $150,000 for sharing the picture of Zayn on her Insta-story.
According to E!News, Photographer Robert O’Neil has filed a lawsuit against the supermodel in Southern district of New York. He has accused Gigi of posting his clicked pictures on her Instagram story without his permission.
E! News has obtained the court documents and it states, “This action arises out of Defendant’s unauthorized reproduction and public display of a copyrighted photograph of English singer and songwriter Zayn Malik, owned and registered by O’Neil, a New York-based professional photographer. Gigi Hadid is not, and has never been, licensed or otherwise authorized to reproduce, publically display, distribute and/or use the Photograph.”
As per the reports, Robert is seeking to be awarded either actual damages and Defendant’s profits, gains or advantages of any kind attributable to Defendant’s infringement of Plaintiff’s Photograph” or “statutory damages of up to $150,000. He also wants GIGI to accept that she did infringe the copyrights by posting the photo on her Insta account.
There has been no response from Gigi Hadid’s team as yet.
Well, this is not the first time she has run into trouble. Earlier this year Gigi had shut down a separate lawsuit brought by an agency.
