Ghosts Of Tsushima Release Date Delayed?
Ghosts of Tsushima currently has a June 26 release date on the PlayStation 4
PS4 fans are speculating that Ghosts of Tsushima may be delayed until later this year. Due to the coronavirus situation, Sony has already decided to delay the much-awaited The Last of Us Part 2 indefinitely. While Naughty Dog had suggested that the game was near completion, it was delayed “due to logistics”.
However, this has led to speculation that the upcoming PS4 game Ghosts of Tsushima may also be delayed. Currently, the game is scheduled to release on June 26 for the PlayStation 4.
The thing that has fans worried is that the PlayStation Canada store recently stated the release date for Ghosts of Tsushima as August 1. The listing has since been altered but it has planted doubts in the minds of fans as to if Sony is contemplating another delay.
First announced at 2017’s Paris Games Week, Ghost of Tsushima is a brand new game from Sucker Punch which will be exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation 4 as well as the incoming PS5 console too.
Sucker Punch is departing from its usual style for Ghost of Tsushima which has a completely new formula. Ghost of Tsushima will be a historical open world adventure that will take players back to Feudal Japan. The dazzling trailer for the game at The Game Awards only served to amp up its hype.
The official synopsis of the game reads:
“In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan. As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands as one of the last surviving members of his clan. He is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.”
