George Floyd’s Funeral To Take Place In Houston On Tuesday

A 46-year-old Black Man’s violent killing by a Police Officer in United States ignited a world wide protest for violence against Black Community. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, next to his mother Larcenia Floyd’s grave in Houston. He was carried home in a horse-drawn carriage.

As per the reports, his funeral will be private. Around 6,000 people attended a public memorial service which was  held in Houston, on Monday where he grew up. Shorty after the memorial ended, Floyd’s casket was placed in a hearse and escorted by police back to a funeral home.

Floyd was killed by a white Minneapolis officer, who pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck for apparently continuous 8-9 mins. The dying man is said to have cried as he wasn’t able to breath and he lost his life because of the Police brutality. George Floyd’s death sparked has worldwide protests. People from all across and the renowned celebrities were seen supporting the protesters on order to bring a law for violence against Black Community.
