Gayathri Gupta is a Telugu actress and TV presenter. She is known for her disputes in Telugu News Channels about casting couch issue in Tollywood and also for her straight forward and frank behaviour. Recently, she has expressed her desire to marry the controversial film director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV).
During a media interaction, Gayathri Gupta has spoken about how she did not receive any projects due to the #MeToo act, she said, “Casting couch exists in the film industry and since I spoke strongly about #MeToo, I did not get offers.”
Further, she spoke about the ‘Ice Cream 2’ director Ram Gopal Varma and she showered compliments by saying that he is a good person and also added, “Ram Gopal Varma gave me a role in Ice Cream 2 and it was like participating in a marathon”.
Gayatri Gupta continued, “RGV is a very good person. He turned out to be elder to me, or else I would have married him. One feels a person like RGV is more than enough in life”.
The actress started her career at Sakshi TV in 2006 and became popular with the short film, ‘Pelliki Mundu.’ Gupta earned popularity after acting in Ram Gopal Varma’ directorial venture ‘Ice Cream 2’ and ‘Fidaa.’ She had also sung, wrote, styled, and directed her music video in 2017, ‘Ninnu Chusthu Unna.’
On the work, Gayathri Gupta was last seen in ‘Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’ and also in Ileana D Cruz starrer ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ in 2018, which did not mark and impression at the box office and thus flopped.
