DDLJ 2: Gauri Khan wants Shah Rukh Khan to make a sequel to DDLJ
Shah Rukh should make a sequel to Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge.
Ever since Zero’s debacle, Bollywood superstar has not announced his next project yet. From Atlee Kumar & Rajkumar Hirani’s collaboration to a special appearance in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra, there have been numerous speculations about Shah Rukh’s next film would be.
Amidst all these rumours, Gauri Khan feels that SRK should make a sequel to his 1995 blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge (DDLJ). Yes, Gauri’s contention came days after the President of United States Donald Trump mentioned DDLJ in his speech while addressing a massive crowd at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In his speech, Donald Trump termed DDLJ one of the classic films that Indian film industry has given to the world, which left SRK fans in a frenzy. When the wife of Shah Rukh was asked how it feels one of the world’s most influential leaders appreciates and acknowledge her husband’s film, Gauri Khan said, “Maybe he (Shah Rukh Khan) should make part two of DDLJ. That’s the next plan and I think he will do that. I am going to tell (DDLJ director-producer) Aditya Chopra to make part two, so every president and prime minister who enters India should discuss that.”
Revealing SRK’s secret skills, Gauri Khan said that SRK could be an architect as he has a great taste in designing. During media interaction, she said, “As Shah Rukh is not doing any movie right now, I will tell him to keep his second option as a designer in future because he is a great designer.”
“He does not get impressed by me but he himself loves design. I always say that if he was not an actor, he would be an architect — 100 per cent! He loves designs and follows designs. He loves modern and contemporary design. I recently designed a table and he gave me full marks. I got an A-plus, so that was a big win for me. I was super-excited because he knows what good design is, not because it’s me. He would reject it if I didn’t deliver on time. I recently designed his room in my house and he loved it, so that’s a big win for me and I am quite excited about it,” she further added.
The revelation comes during a media interaction at Maison & Objet’s 25th-anniversary celebration. Notably, SRK was not on the guest list at the same event but he made a surprise visit.
