South Korean rapper Kwon Jiyong, popularly known as G-Dragon has once again found himself at the receiving end of criticism for posting a picture on social media with drug-influenced undertones. According to a report in Allkpop.com, G-Dragon’s 15 March Instagram posts includes a slideshow of various pictures, including a picture of a mouth and tongue taking LSD.
For the unversed, this was not the first time G-Dragon stirred controversy for allegedly posting drug-influenced images on social media, in 2014, he was heavily criticised for posting a picture of the word Molly in a heart shape with white powder.
Notably, G-Dragon was formally investigated in the year 2011 for the usage of Marijuana but the amount of Marijuana was minimal and found to be non-habitual.
Talking about G-Dragon, he is a well known South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer, often dubbed as the ‘King of K-Pop’. Before debuting in the year 2006 as the lead of the hip hop boy band Big Bang, G-Dragon trained for six years at South Korean entertainment label YG Entertainment.
Notably, BigBang has become one of the best selling boy bands throughout the world. The four members boy band BigBang have renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment. The confirmation of their renewal announced by none other YG Entertainment’s websites with a post that stated “Happy to continue this journey with BigBang” with a picture of T.O.P, G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung.
“YG will provide exhaustive support for BigBang so that the band can continue to write new K-Pop history in the world music scene as artists representing YG,” Yonhap News Agency reported.
