Fortnite Chapter 2 includes Fishing: How and Where to Fish
Fortnite Chapter 2 adds fishing to the game
Fortnite Season 10 concluded with an event that pulled the game offline for nearly 48 hours. The game has emerged from the black hole to introduce the first season of its new chapter known as Fortnite Chapter 2.
Fortnite Chapter 2 brings with it various new features, including a new battle pass packed with content. The new map, however, is the key highlight, offering new ways to play the battle royale. Fishing being one of them.
It is now possible to fish in Fortnite Chapter 2. The first thing you’ll need to do is find a fishing rod. These rods can be found near the beach or lake locations on the brand new map. The barrels found there contain anywhere from three to four rods. Individual fishing rods can also be found in chests or through floor spawns.
Once in possession of a rod, all that is needed is a body of water. Players can find everything from fish, trash, weapons or materials with fishing.
All water bodies yield results but the best rewards can be found where there is a collection of bubbles on the water. The rewards can be of four types: a material bundle, a random weapon, a Flopper, or a Slurpfish.
The weapons caught so far are of the Epic rarity and it is as yet unclear if a higher prize can be caught. The fishes can be used for healing. The Flopper roughly has the same healing ability as a bandage but the Slurpfish restores 50 points of both health and shields.
Fishing is more than just a way to get items as it is also one of the new ways to advance through the battle pass in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1.
