Former Manchester City boss Pellegrini appointed West Ham United coach
Manuel Pellegrini has been appointed the new coach of West Ham United, the English Premier League side announced here on Tuesday.
West Ham said that Pellegrini, who parted company with Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune three days ago, has signed a three-year contract at the London Stadium, reports Xinhua.
“Manuel brings a reputation for attacking football and getting the best out of his players. We believe he will attract new talent to the London Stadium as well as improving the current squad,” West Ham’s Joint Chairman David Sullivan said.
“Above all, he is a winner, who knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level and is driven to continue that success,” Sullivan added.
Pellegrini, who guided Manchester City to the league title in 2014, enjoyed the fifth highest win percentage in Premier League history during his three years in charge.
