Former Indian pacer Parwinder Awana calls it a day
Delhi fast bowler and former Indian pacer Parwinder Awana has decided to retire from all forms of cricket. He played his last first-class game back in November 2016 against Jharkhand at the Ranji Trophy.
Awana played in the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab from 2012 to 2014 and took 39 wickets from 33 matches in this period. He picked up a hat-trick in the Champions League T20 against Chennai Super Kings. Apart from that the speedster played 62 first-class games, taking 191 wickets at 29.23 besides featuring in 44 List A and 61 T20s.

“Representing India and DDCA has been a matter of great pride for me. I feel that it’s the right time to pass the baton to the younger guys. I thank to all DDCA selectors and senior players for providing me the platform to show my skills.”, Parwinder Awana said.
There comes a time when all good things come to an end. I would like to thank everyone who have been part of my cricketing journey and supported me at all times. ? pic.twitter.com/wQf9U41lx8

The 31 year old got the spotlight when he won the speedster competition in 2004 where the runner up was Ashok Dinda. He made his first class debut against Himachal Pradesh in 2007. Though he failed to impress much in his debut match, he managed to take a hat trick against Maharashtra in the next match itself.
He featured for India in two T20s against England in 2012 but was taken for plenty by the visitors without giving away a single wicket, resulting in his downfall.
