Watch: Footballer celebrates goal by proposing girlfriend; gets a yes!
There have been some lavish goal celebrations in the history of football and while some impressed and became part of the fairytale, others went into the funny stories.
But Antofagasta midfielder Eduard Bello just took goal celebrations to a whole level after scoring for his team in their match against Everton in the Chile League on Sunday.

As reported by ESPN, Venezuelan Bello needed just two minutes to open the scoring for his side. And as soon as he scored the striker grabbed a rung from one of the coaching staff and ran into the stands, where he met his girlfriend, hugged her and then got down on one knee and proposed her.
His girlfriend, according to ESPN, is beach Volleyball player Gabriela Brito. And you would have perceived, he, of course, got a Yes!
The couple then embraced before Bello put the ring on his partner’s finger. His actions earned him an applause from both sets of the fans, but the referee wasn’t taken in by his romantic gesture and immediately flashed a yellow card as the player returned to the field.
But by then Bello had already accomplished his target – both the goal and the proposal.
“It’s no wonder he insisted so much on me coming. It really took me by surprise because we hadn’t spoken about it [marriage],” Brito was quoted as saying by the website.
“We probably will go to Venezuela and it will be in December,” She added when asked about their marriage ceremony.

The 23-year-old scored another in the second half but by then Everton had already netted twice (40th and 44th) and found the winner late into the second half, condemning Antofagasta to a 2-3 defeat.
But by then Bello had already been subbed off after fracturing his fibula in the second half. But that won’t be remembered, nor will be the defeat, for as long as will be Bello’s special celebration.
