Florida: Gunman kills 2, injures 4 before taking own life
At least two people were killed and four injured after a gunman open fired at Hot Yoga studio in Tallahassee, Floria, before taking his own life. According to media reports, police knew the shooter, but they refrained from releasing his details.
The incident of shooting is said to have taken place at 5:47 pm. If anything to go by reports, people fought the gunman and several tried to save others.
Before police official could reach the spot, the shooter took his life.
“The six gunshot victims were taken to hospitals. Two people died at the hospital and the other four are in critical condition,” police chief Michael DeLeo said in a conference. Adding that he said, “All indications are that the shooting was the act of a single person.”
“As we process the gut-wrenching act of violence that took place this evening in a place of peace in our community, we hold in our hearts everyone who is affected and lift them up in love,” officials tweeted from the city’s verified account.

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who is currently running for governor of Florida and cut short a campaign event to return to the city. He took to Twitter and wrote: “I’m deeply appreciative of law enforcement’s quick response to the shooting at the yoga facility in Tallahassee today.”
“No act of gun violence is acceptable. I’m in close communication with law enforcement officials and will be returning to Tallahassee tonight,” he added.
