India’s top e-retail website — Flipkart — all set with the fifth edition of its ‘The Big Billion Days’ sale. The five-day sale will kick start on October 10 and will continue till October 14. In the fifth edition, the e-retail merchant will offer on multiple product categories including mobiles, gadgets, TVs, large appliances, and more.
According to the information received through Flipkart, this year Flipkart Plus members will have an exclusive early access to The Big Billion Days and will be able to access deals three hours prior to the sale. Along with it, online marketplace has tied up with MasterCard to offer multiple payment options to its customers.
The fifth edition will be similar to its earlier edition as The Big Billion Days sale and will roll out in a phased manner. The details released say that the on first day offers will be available on fashion, TVs and appliances, furniture, smart devices, and other product categories. Smartphones and other electronics will have offers on the second day, while from the third to last day, offers will be available across all products.
The company has said that flash sales will be available every hour and new deals will be offered every eight hours. In addition, Flipkart announced that there would offer upto 80 percent discount on TVs and other electronics, while home decor, fashion, and personal care products would have upto 90 percent discount. Also, Realme 2 Pro, which launched today will be on for sale during the Big Billion sale only.
Regarding the payment method, Flipkart has come up with multiple options. Customers using HDFC Bank debit and credit cards will get bundled payment offers during the sale. Also, no-cost EMIs on select debit and credit cards along with Bajaj’s Finserv EMI cards will be made available. Adding on, PhonePe users can access a number of cashback offers during the sale.
Flipkart has come up with a new idea this year to grab attention of its customers. The e-retail is offering a cardless credit of up to Rs 60,000 which can be paid back in easy instalments. Also, customers can choose the option of Flipkart Pay Later payment method during the sale.
Among other things, Flipkart claims that it has partnered with renowned celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Virat Kohli and others to help promote its festive season sale. Also, it would use personalised content to promote the sale on social media.
Its is to be known that arch-rival Amazon too has announced its festive season sale titled ‘The Great Indian Festival’, but the dates have not been announced as of yet. However, both the market giants usually run their festive season sales on a similar timeline.
