A fire has broken out at a commercial building in Mumbai. The level-III fire has broken out at Rolta company in Mumbai’s Andheri East on Thursday. Eight fire tenders soon rushed to the spot to contain the fire. Search operations are on to rescue persons trapped in the high rise.
As reported by ANI, The fire broke out in the ground-plus-three storey building around 11.30 am. The fire broke out at a building housing the offices of Rolta, an Indian multinational company. Dense smoke engulfed the building and its staircases, posing difficulties in the fire-fighting operations. The fire was reportedly confined to the building server room, located on the second floor of the three-story structure. The building is located in the Rolta Technology Park in MIDC in Andheri East’s Marol area.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties or of anybody being trapped in the Andheri East fire.
