Massive fire broke out in the pharmacy department of Kolkata Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday morning. No casualties have been reported so far.
At around 8 am today morning, the fire broke out in the pharmacy department of Kolkata Medical College and Hospital. As soon as the thick smoke engulfed the building, the patients were evacuated immediately.
According to reports, around 200 patients were evacuated immediately and all patients are safe. As soon as the incident was reported, as many as 10 fire engines immediately reached to the spot and firefighting operation is currently underway. A team of Kolkata police officers have rushed to the spot.
