Ekta Kapoor web-series ‘XXX: Uncensored’ has been landing into legal troubles back to back, now, an FIR has been filed against filmmaker Ekta Kapoor in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on charges of insulting the national emblem, Hindu gods & Army personnel, as per ANI.
Annapurna police station inspector Satish Kumar Dwivedi stated in the complaint, “Ekta Kapoor’s OTT platform ALTBalaji streamed (erotic) web series “Triple X Season 2″ which not only spread obscenity but also hurt religious feelings of a particular community.”
Dwivedi also said, Ekta and others have been charged under sections of the Indian Penal Code for obscene acts and songs and uttering, words, etc., with deliberate intention to hurt the religious feelings of any person. They have also been accused under the Information Technology (IT) Act, and the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005, reported PTI.
On Friday, the chairman of the Martyrs Welfare Foundation (MWF) Major T.C.Rao also issued a complaint about its allegedly improper content. Addressing the same, Rao told IANS, “In a state like Harayana having representation of over 3.70 lakh army soldiers. This is an insult to them and ex-armymen like us. If Ekta Kapoor will not remove the objectionable scenes from the web series, we will intensify our agitation.”
“Triple X-2 also has scenes where uniforms of military men, having symbols of Ashoka statue and Taj are torn apart. This is an insult to our armed forces and military personnel,” Rao said.
Earlier, YouTuber and ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant Vikas Pathak aka Hindustani Bhau, also filed a complaint at Khar police station against Ekta and mother Shobha Kapoor for allegedly disrespecting the Indian Army. In his Instagram video, he stated that the scenes were offensive and also humiliating to the sacrifices made by the Army Jawans.
