An FIR has been registered against Union Minister Narayan Rane. It is for making objectionable remarks against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The FIR has been registered at Chaturshringi Police Station of Pune. This was following a complaint by Yuva Sena, for using objectionable language against CM.
A team of Pune city Police left for Chiplun in Ratnagiri as part of the investigation in the case, news agency ANI reported.
While conducting his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ in Raigad organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Rane had said that he would have given “a tight slap” to Uddhav Thackeray. This was after the latter allegedly forgot the year of independence during his August 15 address to citizens.
Narayan Rane’s comment against their chief evoked a bitter response from Shiv Sena. According to a report by ABP, Nashik city chief of Shiv Sena Sudhakar Badgujar filed a case against Rane in Nashik. The police have reportedly issued an arrest warrant against the Union Minister.
