Bollywood celebrities are showered with immense love by their fans, but sometimes this love turns into a major obsession causing issue for the celebs. The same happened with Salman Khan who has a huge fan following. A fan threatened Salman Khan’s staff when he refused to give the actor’s personal number.
A man, apparently named Shera called one of Salman‘s staff member for the star’s number. When the staffer refused, he threatened him and the two got into a verbal fight. An FIR was lodged at Bandra police station by the staff and the fan was then arrested last evening from Prayagraj. He has been brought to Mumbai for inquiry.
A police source told Times Of India, “The motive of the threatening call will be clear once they get here and interrogate the arrested man.”
“We suspect that something went wrong between the accused and the actor’s employee although the two are not even acquainted with one another. The accused got hold of the staffer’s cell phone number through social media,” added the source.
The accused has been booked under the Indian Penal Code sections 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
Salman Khan is currently in Punjab shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Bharat’. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie also features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover. It is slated to release in Eid 2019.
