EXO’s Chen Welcomes Baby Girl 4 Months After Private Wedding

K-pop boy band EXO’s Chen has become the father of a baby girl on Wednesday. The singer had made a surprise marriage announcement in January through a handwritten letter. He had stated at the time that his fiancee was pregnant and he would be marrying her in a closed-door ceremony.

“Chen had a daughter born today as (reported),” EXO’s management agency, SM Entertainment, said, confirming the media reports on the birth.

Chen is the first of the nine EXO members to get married and become a father to a baby girl. EXO originally started out with 12 members but after some issues, the band was slated down to nine members.

Fans of the singer flocked to congratulate him on the joyous occasion. Twitter users expressed their joy at the news. One user wrote, “Oh my godddddd! EXO’s first child, a baby girl I’m a mess right now”

Another said, “Sehun is not exo’s baby anymore.” Yet another Twitter user was quick to imagine what life would be like for the new baby. “DO and xiumin uncle will cook for her, Kai uncle will buy her bear doll, Suho uncle will take her for a walk, Chanyeol uncle will buy anything she wants, Baekhyun uncle will sing for her, Sehun uncle will teach her how to be spoiled by the uncles”

Another fan simply welcomed the baby and promised to protect her. “Welcome Princess… We will protect you!”

Exo’s Chen had been criticized previously by some EXO fans for his decisions. However, his fans have always stood by him despite the toxic fans.
