On the occasion of 73rd Independence Day, Bollywood actor Esha Gupta got trolled for wishing Happy Republic Day instead of wishing Happy Independencey Day.
Esha Gupta took to Twitter and wroye, “Gantrantra Diwas ke hardik subhkamnaye (Heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Republic Day’)”. However, the tweet was later deleted but Twitterati didn’t spare her. However, August 15 is the day India celebrates its independence. Republic Day, as we all know, is on January 26.
Meanwhile, Esha claimed that her Twitter account was hacked. In a series of tweets, she wrote, “Account hacked please don’t open or respond to any DM through this account. Thanks”.
Esha also wrote, “Happy Independence Day.. (thanks for telling an airforce daughter that she knows otherwise?) y’all troller are too much”.And later she added, “Finally got the account back in order. Thanks to a lot of people who informed me on IG. (P.S – Don’t change your password if you get a mail about any suspicious activity on twitter and asks you to change the password as that can lead to hacking).”
Earlier this year, Esha Gupta made a racist comment on Alexander Iwobi- a Nigerian footballer, during a Whatsapp conversation with her friend, which she later shared on her Instagram story. She later issued an apology to the footballer saying she deeply regrets (making the comment) but also said that she was falsely accused.
Last month, Esha Gupta created a ruckus on social media, when she went all out posting about being “raped by eyes” at a Delhi lounge by a hotelier, Rohit Vig. Since then the man in question has been underground.
Esha Gupta made her debut in Bollywood with Jannat 2 and she is popularlu known for her roles in films ‘Baadshaho’, ‘Rustom’ and ‘Commando 2’. Apart from Hindi films, she has starred in several south Indian films including ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ and ‘Veedevad’ in Telugu.
