Here’s why Esha Deol And Hema Malini walked out of Lakme Fashion Week
There has been many a news from the Lakme Fashion Week but here’s something even better. Did you know that Hema Malini and her daughter Esha Deol walked out of the event? no, right?
It is a star-studded event where designers from all across the nation put their designs up for display. Designer Sanjukta Dutta’s collection was last on the runway of the fashion week. Actress Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol graced the runway as Dutta’s showstoppers. The mother-daughter duo looked stunning in her designs.
The title of her collection is ‘Aboor’. Made with Assamese woven fabrics, it centred around the empowerment of Assamese women.
While Hema Malini wore ‘Mekhela Chador’ in multicolor along with a traditional waistband (kamarbandh), Esha Deol, on the other hand, wore a traditional bridal dress in pink and gold color. Sanjukta Dutta completed both the looks with maang tikkas and red bindis.
Post the ramp walk, the mother-daughter went backstage along with the designer where Hema Malini praised the designer and appreciated her work. She then went on to add that they were also there to promote Esha Deol’s short film Cakewalk.
But as soon as Esha took the mic, the anchor interrupted and asked everybody to ask questions in the post-show conference. Being interrupted mid-conversation naturally left Esha Deol angry. Later, when a reporter asked about her short film, Cakewalk instead of the ramp walk, Esha asked the anchor to answer the questions herself. Esha handed the mic over and walked off. She also took Hema Malini with her.
