England vs India: Michael Vaughan predicts another century for Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has been India’s best batsman in the ongoing series against England and has led his country from the front, even guiding them even to a victory in the third Test at Trent Bridge.

The Indian skipper with two centuries and two 50s is the leading run-scorer in the series and has so far scored 440 runs in six innings, with a staggering average of 73.33. He has been in red-hot form throughout the series and former England captain Michael Vaughan believes that he will right-hander will continue his rich form even in the fourth Test at Southampton.

When asked on Twitter if there is a chance of Kohli hitting another century at Rose Bowl, Vaughan replied with a straightforward and short answer – “highly likely.”

After a disastrous 2014 tour of England where he failed to score a single century, Kohli was under enormous pressure to get some runs under his belt in the tough conditions in England.

And the 29-year-old has replied in a fabulous style leading the Indian batting attack with some brilliant innings. He almost single-handedly dragged India to a victory in the first Test at Edgbaston with a master class 149 and a 51 in two innings, but lack of support from other batsmen meant India heartbreakingly lost the match by 31 runs.

Then after the humbling at Lord’s, Kohli once led the team from the front at Trent Bridge, scoring a match-winning 103 in the second innings. He had missed another century in the first essay by three agonizing runs.

India won the Test by massive 203 runs and currently trail England 2-1 in the five-match Test series.
