Emraan Hashmi starrer Ezra goes on floor in Mauritius

Actor Emraan Hashmi has returned to the horror genre with his next titled ‘Ezra’. The movie is a remake of a hit Malayalam supernatural thriller of the same name which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. It has gone on floor in Mauritius. The announcement was made on the official Twitter page of T-Series.

The movie is directed by Jay Krishnan who directed the original too. It is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Krishan Kumar and Abhishek Pathak. It is co-produced by Aditya Chowksey and Sanjeev Joshi. RDS RDS.

This is not the first time Emraan has worked in a supernatural flick. He was seen in ‘Raaz: The Mystery Continues’, ‘Raaz 3: The Third Dimension’ and ‘Ek Thi Daayan’, Emraan was last seen in 2016 film ‘Raaz Reboot’.

Speaking to IANS in an interview long back Emraan said, “Horror is a genre with immense potential. A well-made horror film will always draw audiences in huge numbers to cinema halls. With Ezra, we hope to push the boundaries further and give the audience an experience that they will never forget. I’m happy to be associating with Kumarji and Abhishek on this film and with Jay at the helm of things all I can say is be prepared for one hell of a spooky ride.”

The shoot of the film will take place in Mumbai and Mauritius. The female lead is yet to be decided on.
