India Independence Day, Empire State Building, Burj Khalifa, Niagara Falls illuminated in tricolour
India celebrated it 74th Independence day on August 15, 2020. In honour and celebration of India’s 74th year of independence from the British rule iconic monuments across the globe were lit up with the tricolour. From Times Square to Niagara Falls, the tricolour was seen in various parts of the world.

The world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa was also lit up with the tricolour to commemorate India’s Independence Day.

Meanwhile in New York, for the first time, the Tricolour was unfurled with pride alongside the US flag at Times Square.
Major monuments across India too were lit in the colours of the National Flag.
