Sir Elton John is coming back to Grand Rapids as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. Van Andel Arena announced that the legendary musician will perform in west Michigan on April 23, 2020.
The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour commenced September 2018 and got rave reviews.
The show promises to deliver a “magical journey through John’s career and features some of Elton’s most beloved songs” including, “Bennie and the Jets,” “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Philadelphia Freedom.”
The audience will get to be part of a rare peek into Elton John’s life. The show offers never-seen-before photos and videos of the singer through his 50-year career.

Elton John is one of the world’s best-selling musicians, having sold over 300 million records. He has received five Grammy Awards, five Brit Awards, an Academy Award,a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award, a Disney Legends Award and the Kennedy Center Honor.
In 2013, Billboard ranked him the most successful male solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists, and third overall, behind the Beatles and Madonna. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992, and is a fellow of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. He was knighted by Elizabeth II for “services to music and charitable services” in 1998.
