Mohit Suri’s 2014 Ek Villain became a hit at the Box Office. Initially, Aditya Roy Kapur was a part of the movie, later after he backed out and Arjun Kapoor took over. The film will also see John Abraham in the lead with Disha Patani paired opposite the actor.
Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, director Mohit Suri stated that the action in the sequel will be a step above from last time. “We want to take the action a notch higher and John has been designing and choreographing these scenes with me and my team of assistants.” The action scene will also be very real with hand-to-hand combats and car chases.
Ek Villian sequel is expected to go on floors in January of 2021, “Given that we are still in the midst of a pandemic, we are taking it one step at a time. If we start prep now, we should be ready to shoot by January. We have to plan short schedules with fewer crew. The time spent on set will be far lesser than the time spent behind the scenes. We will be using a lot more technology too. Luckily for me, I am used to making films in a limited time,” said Suri.
The sequel will also feature Tara Sutaria in the lead, the movie will be bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar.
