Ek Villain 2: Tara Sutaria joins John Abraham & Aditya Roy Kapur starrer

‘Ek Villain‘ that had hit the screens in 2014 went on to mint at the box office. The Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh starrer has now got a sequel. Yes, recently a sequel to the thriller was announced with Aditya Roy Kapur, John Abraham and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. Now as per recent reports Marjaavaan star Tara Sutaria has been roped in to star in Mohit Suri’s thriller sequel.

As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Tara Sutaria will be seen playing the role of a singer in the film. She is cast opposite Aditya Roy Kapur and her character will be in the space of Gone Girl’s lead.

Confirming Tara being a part of ‘Ek Villain 2’, Mohit told Mumbai Mirror, “It takes a lifetime to get the nuances of a musician but luckily for me, Tara has been training for this all her life. What more can a filmmaker ask for? A new-age, uninhibited voice that comes from a place of honesty. That’s exactly what my character needs in the film.”

As reported by sources to the tabloid, “We have seen a crossover of superheroes and super cops. With this franchise, Mohit is looking to explore the dark side of human behaviour and continue with it in the future.”

Unlike ‘Ek Villain’, which was a face-off between good(Sidharth Malhotra) and evil(Riteish Deshmukh). Ek Villain 2 is all about a face-off between two villains, Aditya Roy Kapur and John Abraham.

‘Ek Villain 2’ is set to go on floors by mid-2020. The movie is all set to hit the screens on January 8, 2021.
