New developments in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has taken the spotlight on the drug angel. Apparently, after Rhea Chakraborty’s WhatsApp chats were retrieved it was learned that the actress had asked for the MD and other illegal drugs to an alleged drug dealer. Now, according to the latest reports, the Enforcement Directorate after interrogating her twice had found out that about the drug supply to the actress and the late actor.
The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) department is currently investigating the drug angle in the death case. The Bureau director, Rakesh Asthana has apparently revealed about Enforcement Directorate finding about the supply. A report by Hindustan Times states, “We received a letter from ED on Tuesday evening stating that during their probe into financial aspects they found that drug was supplied to Rhea and Sushant. An NCB team will now conduct an inquiry and people involved will be questioned.”
Spilling the beans on the new drug angel, Sushant’s father, K.K Singh’s lawyer, Vikas Singh informed to news agency ANI, “If this drug issue is true as showed by some media channels yesterday then definitely it is a very serious matter. When the family got the FIR registered, there was an impression that Sushant was being over drugged. But then we meant prescription drug which was being administered on the instruction of some psychiatrist”.
Reportedly, the NCB has filed a case under sections 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty is yet to react on the allegations of being involved in drug dealing. Meanwhile, her lawyer, Satish Maneshinde in a statement revealed that the actress has not consumed any of the drugs and she is ready to get her blood tests done.
