Early polls likely in November, predicts Deve Gowda
Setting an indication that the General Elections of 2019 might take place in the month of November-December, this year, former Prime Minster and senior Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda said on Thursday that Narendra Modi government is getting its BJP cadre ready for early polls.
Gowda was of the opinion that even if all the non-BJP parties’ presence was experienced at the swearing-in of the JD(S)-Congress government in Karnataka, it does not mean that all of them will fight the General Elections of 2019 together against BJP.

Speaking to the reporters in the national capital, Gowda said, “It is not necessary that the parties which attended the swearing-in ceremony of (Karnataka Chief Minister) H.D. Kumaraswamy will fight together in all States.” Though the former premier stated that he favoured the formation of third front to take on BJP in then upcoming elections, Gowda also indicated that saffron front have started their ground work and might try to schedule the polls in November-December.
Speaking about the seat sharing mathematics for 2019 Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka, Gowda said that JD(S) has not decided on this yet, but rumours are being circulated that JD(S) might agree on a 10 seats, while give the Congress 18 remaining seats. Also, discussions are going on between Samajwadi Party and BSP on equal sharing of seats from Uttar Pradesh. Gowda also said that he would be meeting all the non-BJP parties in the coming days.

It was a view to remember when all thetop leaders of the Congress, the Trinamool Congress, the BSP, the AAP, the CPI(M) and the TDP attended the swearing-in ceremony of H.D. Kumaraswamy last month in Bengaluru, presenting a united front.
