Dual Roles for Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu in fantasy drama?

South star Vijay Sethupati and actress Taapsee Pannu have come together for debutant director Deepak Sundarajan’s fantasy drama. Pictures of the lead actors from Jaipur sets are viral on social media. Now, a new report has surfaced online stating that both the lead actors will be playing dual roles in the film that also has a period setting.

As per a Times Of India report, Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu’s characters will appear both in the present time and in the period portion.

As reported by sources to TOI, “The film is a fantasy entertainer and has humour in generous dose. Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee are playing dual roles in the film; their characters will appear both in the present time and also in the period portion. Interestingly, this is the second time that the two are playing double roles in their films — VSP had appeared in two roles in Sangathamizhan, while Taapsee will be seen in two avatars in her upcoming Hindi film, Sia Jia.”

The team is presently shooting in Jaipur. “About 20 days of shoot is left. Since it’s a fantasy, set in a different time period, there is also a lot of CG work involved,” the source adds.

Deepak Sundarajan is the son of popular director and actor Sundarajan. He has worked as an associate to AL Vijay in the film Thalaivi. The film is being produced by Jana Gana Mana’s makers Fashion Studios. After permission being granted by the government, the makers have started shooting in Jaipur.
