President Donald Trump Wants To Use 6G As Soon As Possible

5G hype came into existence last year and now we are witnessing an era of Smartphone with this high-speed network bandwidth capable of delivering gigabits per second of data transfer. We had not yet seen consumer-centric products like a Smartphone to fully adopt 5G bandwidth and further supported by telecom providers.

US President seems to be in a big hurry who via his recent tweets urges the company to bring 5G as soon as possible which is agreeable but he also pressed to bring 6G. It is not possible with a flip of a switch to change everything, a whole ecosystem relies on current technology, it takes times for companies first to adopt something new first and then slowly inject it in the life of people.

South Korea, China, Japan, and the US are among the top global countries that are effusively ready for 5G. Verizon and AT&T, leading telecom providers in the US are competing for 5G, Verizon uses it proprietary 5G NR to implement the service, while AT&T has a stronghold in 4G.

6G on the contrary side requires decades of research and implementation. 4G came out in the year 2012 and for the next 5 years, it ruled the market. In developing countries like India 4G in the last few years has turned into a common standard where a massive part of the population can afford high-speed internet at an affordable cost through Jio. 5G can take around a decade to get standardize globally and finally the 6G bandwidth can become reality unless there is some radical change needed.

We were watching how the industry reacts to Trump’s tweet. Reading through the replies we found many trolling the tweet while telecom companies choose to stay quiet on the matter.
