Rafael Nadal knocked out, Djokovic on brink of fourth Wimbledon title
Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(11-9), 3-6, 10-8 in Wimbledon 2018 semi final on Saturday. It took the Serbian five hours and 16 minutes to get the better of the Spaniard in the race towards the Wimbledon title.
Novak Djokovic is one match away from a first Grand Slam title since 2016 after a blockbuster five set win over Rafael Nadal in the Wimbledon semi final. It will be a fourth Wimbledon title for the 31 year old if he succeeds in beating the South African on Sunday.

The Serbian led by two sets to one when play was suspended on Friday. Rafa hit back as soon as the play resumed on Saturday. He broke twice in the fourth set to take it to the decider and it proved to be an epic finish to this enthralling encounter.
Djokovic and Nadal have met 52 times which is more than any other two men in the Open era. And with such exciting encounters on show, fans would want more and more of this as they are treated to the highest levels of Tennis. Both of them brought their A-game to the court and it seemed as if it were a Wimbledon final.
“I’m just overwhelmed. It’s very special. It was very clear that very few things separated us. This kind of match is what you live for, you work for.”, said Djokovic.
Nadal missed five break points in the decider and was eventually punished as the 12 time Grand Slam champion Djokovic reached his first major final. He reached the final stage of any grand slam for the first time since the 2016 US Open.
Novak Djokovic will play against South Africa’s Kevin Anderson in the final of Wimbledon 2018. The Serbian would love to add one more Wimbledon title to his tally after being victorious in 2011, 2014 and 2015.
