For a while now Disha Vakani aka Dayaben has been away from SAB TV’s show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. There were many speculations about her returning to the show soon, however, the actress didn’t officially comment anything as yet. For the last few days, Divyanka Tripathi has been making headlines for allegedly being offered Daya’s role. The actress claims these to be just rumors and she also clarifies having no aims of doing the show.
Divyanka Tripathi has refuted to have been offered Disha Vakani’s part for Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which is produced by Asit Modi, according to the latest reports. While talking to ETimes recently, she quashed these reports and called them ‘baseless rumors’. “It’s a fabulous show with a great fan following but I don’t think I’ll be keen on doing it. I am looking for a fresh concept and new challenge,” said the Yeh Hai Mohabattein actress.
For the unversed, Divyanka Tripathi is currently in Cape Town (South Africa) for the shoots of Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. Alongside other contestants, she will be seen performing some high-end stunts in Rohit Shetty’s reality show. She is also one of the highest-paid actresses on the show.
