Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya recently rejected to play the female lead in ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2.’ Now looks Tripathi’s loss has turned into Disha Parmar’s gain as she is has been reportedly approached to play the lead opposite Nakuul Mehta, reported SpotBoye.
With this, Disha and Nakuul will be reuniting after almost 7 years. The duo previously worked together in ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’, which earned positive reviews from the audience. In the show, they played Pankhuri Gupta Kumar and Aditya Kumar respectively. It aired from 18 June 2012 to 1 November 2014.
On the personal front, Disha recently tied the knot on July 16 in Mumbai with singer and ‘Bigg Boss 14’ runner-up Rahul Vaidya after dating him for two years. Whereas, Nakuul and his wife, Jankee Parekh Mehta became parents on February 3, 2021, as they were blessed with a baby boy.
The first season of ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ was based on the Gujarati play Patrani by Imtiaz Patel, the soap opera is created by Ekta Kapoor and produced by her production company, Balaji Telefilms. The show explored the worlds of its protagonists, Priya Sharma (Sakshi Tanwar) and Ram Kapoor (Ram Kapoor), who accidentally discover love after getting married. The show also garnered immense popularity, and their chemistry was quite appreciated.
