A while ago, the reports made headlines about Sanjay Leela Bhansali considering to cast Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in his upcoming film, Baiju Bawra. The filmmaker and the actor couple had earlier collaborated for Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat, all three of the projects went on to bag great success at the box-office. According to the latest reports, the actress already opted out of the project because her demanded for pay hike was rejected by the makers.
As per a latest report by Bollywood Hungama, Deepika Padukone apparently demanded an increase in her remuneration as that of her husband, Ranveer Singh. The actress is said to have already walked out of the project, while the reason being unfulfilled demand for remuneration hike. A source while talking about the same informed the portal, “Apparently, Deepika wants the same remuneration as her husband. Not a penny more, not a penny less.” On the other side, filmmaker, Bhansali has turned down her pay request with regrets in his heart.
Earlier there were reports that Katrina Kaif was approached by the makers for Deepika’s role. As of yet there is no official confirmation about the same. The production is also yet to unveil the official cast of the film.
For the unversed, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been prepping for the release of Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt. The makers recently wrapped up the shoots and currently project is in post-production phase.
