Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni seems to be enjoying his life off the field after retiring from the Test format of the game. The 37-year-old who called it a day in the longest format of the game during the 2014 Test series in Australia posted a video on social media site Instagram, where he could be seen playing with his daughter Ziva.
In the video, Ziva, 3, could be seen asking something to her mother Sakshi, who replies that her father (Dhoni) will buy it for her. Meanwhile, a few seconds later, the cricketer appears on the scene and can be seen throwing balloons on Ziva’s head in a playful manner.

He captioned the minute-long video as “very smart” possibly in reference to his daughter’s demands.
He of late has been very active on social media, not just posting videos but also engaging with fans.
Earlier, a couple of days ago he had posted another video on Instagram where he could be seen taking a refreshing bath in the waterfall in Ranchi. He captioned the picture as “With 3 waterfalls around Ranchi, v cd do this whenever v wanted but now to do something like this after more than 10yrs brings back the good old memories. head massage for free.”
The video was hugely circulated on social media with many fans calling him “Bahubali”, while some others praised him for his dashing looks and stoned-body.
The 2011 Wolrd Cup-winning captain was last seen during the One-Day and Twenty-20 internationals against England. Although he performed well with the bat in the T-20s, the wicket-keeping batsman was in terrible form during the three-match ODI series, which India lost 2-1.
His strike rate in the last two matches was woefully poor and sparked wide rage and fury among the fans, with many even asking for the legendary limited-format captain to retire. In fact, at the end of the final ODI when Dhoni was seen in a video asking the ball from the umpires, it was widely speculated that it was probably his last match.
Dhoni himself though cleared the matter later saying that he had actually asked the ball to hand it over to the Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun, in order to help him understand that why were the Indian bowlers not getting the same amount of swing as the England bowlers.
